Hey Guys! Today we are going to give you the scoop on the Grand Floridian Cafe at the Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you’re an Annual Passholder or if you’re visiting on vacation the Grand Floridian Cafe is a great option for casual dining, this elegant yet unpretentious eatery can’t be beat.

While sipping a cocktail or sampling some appetizers, you can soak up the views of the rose gardens and courtyard pool as you dine on inspired favorites.

A great choice for a drink is the Magical Star Cocktail it has Mango and Passion Fruit Liqueur, Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, and a souvenir Multi-colored Glow Cube. (My wife gets this every time we get drinks at the resorts, I think she just likes the light up cube inside.)

I got the Grand Colada, this treat is a tropical blend of Dark Rum, Coconut, and Pineapple topped with Blue Curaçao. Yum!

The Grand Floridian Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch or an impromptu dinner, the Grand Floridian Cafe is a hidden gem that offers moderately priced cuisine (15-35 dollars per person).

For Breakfast you can start out with a plate of Mickey waffles or the decadent Eggs Benedict. For lunch, there is a variety of freshly prepared salads, soups, sandwiches and daily specials. Some of the same selections are available for dinner, additionally there are hearty entrées like chicken, steak and pasta. I got the Caramelized Onion Soup Gratinée, while my wife got the Chicken Tortilla soup. They were both amazing!

For an Entree I got the Artisan-made Spinach-Ricotta Ravioli. These Pasta Purses are filled with Tuscan Kale, Seared Alba Mushrooms, and topped with Shaved Parmesan Cheese, Creamy Herb Pesto, and Warmed Tomato Vinaigrette. My wife got the New York Strip Steak served with Smashed Sour Cream and Chive Red Bliss Potatoes, Roasted Cipollini Onions, Broccolini, and House-made Steak Sauce. The Steak was to die for, but the smashed potatoes were fabulous.

By the time we were through dining, there was no room in our tummies for dessert, although there was some good looking options! I think next time I will try the Lemon Berry Tart. Everything served at the Grand Floridan Cafe is very fresh so the rest of their options I’m guess would be great as well!
