If you are visiting Walt Disney World between now and August 11th, 2018, you have the opportunity to attend H2O Glow Night at Typhoon Lagoon water park. H2O Glow Night is a ‘Special Ticketed’ event hosted by Walt Disney World Resort. Most ‘Special Ticketed Events’ are hosted after normal park operation hours and this event was no exception. This party allowed us to enjoy parts of the Typhoon Lagoon water park without large crowds and beating summer heat as the event started at 8pm and continued until 11pm. Continuing with the hype of Toy Story Land, there was an underlining ‘Toy Story’ theme as the party was based off the Pixar short film ‘Partysaurus Rex’! This theme was carried out into the glow dance party with vibrant, colored lights and a giant ‘Rex’ inflatable dressed in his famous party-saurus attire.

When the sun went down, the park lit up and the party began.
Cast members joined in on the fun by hosting games and hula-hoop competitions.

What’s a Disney event without characters? I got to spend some time with Buzz, Woody, and Jessie from Toy Story who all attended the party with us!

The water park was offering mostly normal food options aside from a few new ‘Glow’ drinks and the option of a glowing ice cube in any soft drink.

While Typhoon Lagoon’s H2O Glow Night was great amounts of fun, I will be honest in saying it doesn’t quite compare to some of Disney’s other special ticketed events. The event reminded me more of ‘Extra Magic Hours’ meets one of the parties Disney hosts at their resorts for resort guests. I was surprised as the actual glow party really took place in smaller parts of the water park and didn’t really incorporate any of the water attractions in the theme. Although it doesn’t compete with over events like ‘Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party’, it still was a great time! If you would like to enjoy almost all of the water park with little to no crowd and without the heat of the Florida sun, I would definitely recommend this event! If you’re wanting to experience Typhoon Lagoon on a tighter budget, it may be a great option as well as the price for a normal day pass is $69.03 per adult, while the glow party was a total of $58.58 ($52.19 for Florida Residents or Annual Passholders)per adult.

It was definitely a good experience and a great addition to the other summer time events taking place at Walt Disney World.
