We recently visited the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort and experienced Early Morning Magic in Fantasyland. This is a special ticketed event (in addition to a normal park ticket) that takes place on select Sundays and Tuesday through November 27 from 7:45 AM to 10:00 AM. At this time, admission is available for $69 per adult and $59 per child (tax not included). The event allows you to enter Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom and experience multiple attractions early before anyone else can enter the park. The event also includes a pretty hefty buffet breakfast.

At the time of this article, you can experience The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as many times as you’d like during the event. Even though the event goes until 10AM, Magic Kingdom opens at 9AM usually, which means you have about one hour and fifteen minutes to experience these three attractions. We highly recommend arriving at the park no later than 7:30AM to ensure you get in as soon as possible. The lines for these attractions are very minimal, which means you won’t be able to book FastPasses for them during this time slot. You will also not be allowed into other areas of the park as the event is limited to a few spots in Fantasyland.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train usually was the longest line during our time there. We typically only waited 20-30 minutes for this attraction, which you can’t even get that low of a wait during the day. On The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan’s Flight, we were basically able to walk right onto the ride. During the day, it’s not abnormal to see the wait time for Peter Pan’s Flight be 60-90 minutes. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is also a very busy attraction and it’s normal for it to have a 30-60 minute wait during an average day. All in all, you’re saving a lot of line time with this event!

Since the park (most likely) will open at 9AM, we recommend experiencing as many of the attractions as possible first. Then, at 9AM, when the hoard swarms Fantasyland, that’s your time to go grab your breakfast! You have until 10AM to eat breakfast, so we definitely recommend doing it between 9-10AM. For breakfast, you’ll be dining at Pinocchio Village Haus. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, french toast, pastries, yogurts, and more! The fact that you get such a large breakfast adds to the value of this ticketed event.

Beginning December 2, 2018, Early Morning Magic will be offering even more to park guests! Joining the existing attractions, guests will also be able to experience Princess Fairytale Hall, “it’s a small world”, Mad Tea Party, and Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid. For some reason, the breakfast location is being moved to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. We’re not sure why that is. It could be because they are expecting more guests to attend this event with the new offerings as Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café does offer more seating. We assume the breakfast spread will be mostly the same, but the website for the event did mention some new items including breakfast potatoes, pancakes, oatmeal, and granola. Sadly the event price is being raised $10, but that is somewhat expected with the new attractions and possible breakfast options. Admission is available for $79 per adult and $69 per child (tax not included).

In conclusion, we think this event is worth the price (especially beginning December 2nd)! The early access to the attractions paired with a generous breakfast buffet will allow you to beat the crowd and enjoy a nice meal.

What do you think? Have you experienced this event before? Do you plan on going to this event on your next trip? Let us know!
